Alchemy and Transmutation Circles.

I have a few of my posts on this blog (Who am I kidding, I only have like 7 posts) have been about my favorite series, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which I only finished in January. Since then, I have been most interested in learning about the basics of alchemy and transmutation. However, my laziness outweighed my interest, especially since one of my least favorite subjects would be science. However, this morning, I came upon this interesting forum thread in which someone was able to decipher multiple transmutation circles (e.g Roy's flame alchemy, and Alphonse's soul.) and I was absolutely fascinated. Therefore I'm determined to at least study up and brush up on it. Maybe because I'm a nerd. No I did not learn how to snap because of Roy Mustang, what are you talking about? Ahem. Therefore these are some links that I am going to be starting out with to study, and hopefully I'll understand them.

However, since the only reason I'm interested in learning about alchemy (well actually there was a slight interest before), I will also be posting some stuff I found about the Fullmetal Alchemist world. A LOT of these links will be for OC's, mostly due to the fact that I am trying to succesfully make a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood fanfiction, but she's turning out to be slightly a total Mary-Sue.

New Anime Alert!

I don't even know why I bother starting new anime when I'm currently watching so many! ╥﹏╥
Here's what I'm trying to watch at the same time, in case anyone's wondering:

  • Clannad
  • Black Butler
  • Lucky Star
  • Naruto
  • Uta No Prince Sama 2000% Love
  • Hiiro no Kakera: The Tamayori Princess Saga
Well anyways, those are SOME of the ones I'm trying to watch all at once! Not to mention I keep on rewatching my favorite episodes from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood! But against my better judgement, I started, yet another anime! (I blame youtube for having so many Amv's)

*Drumroll please*

KIMI NI TODOKE!

Yeah I love it so far! I'm only on episode 2, but I have a really great feeling about this one guys! Kazehaya just makes my heart pound, and I love the main character Sawako!

Sawako Kuronuma is just like any other high school girl who wants to make friends and be useful. The only problem is she bears a worrying resemblance to Sadako from 'The Ring!' Because of her reputation, people are not only terrified of her, but small dogs even bark in fear at her presence; in fact, the only person in school who will talk to her is the lively class hottie, Kazehaya. As the pair spends more time together, Kazehaya slowly begins to bring Sawako out of her shell and soon their feelings for each other develop further. Though with her crippling insecurities, lack of social skills, and a series of cruel rumors and misunderstandings, it seems that Sawako's dream of a normal life won’t be quite so easy to obtain. (-Borrowed from Anime-Planet description)

Yes, I do love these sappy romance stories, and I love comedy romance even more! Just like Kaichou Wa Maid Sama, Special A, and Lovely Complex!

Fullmetal Alchemist | Rant

WARNING: Contains Spoilers for the anime 'Fullmetal Alchemist' and 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood'. You have been warned.

I haven't posted in a long time, (Not that anyone cares.) and I decided I would make use of this post, and use it to let out all of my pent up emotions. It's pretty hard to have a discussion about one of the most epic characters in anime history with my sister, especially when she's never seen Fullmetal Alchemist, is too busy fan-girling over Vampire Knight, and is basically a cold-hearted stone statue when it comes to my anime rants.

I recently (Well not recently, since I've been done for at least 3 months.)  have finished Fullmetal Alchemist, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I have to say: it is my absolute favorite anime of all time. Even more then Fairy Tail, and I like Fairy Tail pretty darn well! Fullmetal Alchemist was a perfect blend of action, tragedy, and comedy, it was just made of pure awesomeness. Every character I just couldn't help but falling in love with, even the villains!

For those of you who have never heard of this anime, here is a brief description that I've come up with, so bear with me, because I have always sucked at summaries and descriptions. {I enlisted the help of the FMA Wiki as well.}:

Edward and Alphonse Elric are two brothers living together happily with their mother in Resembool, a small town in Amestris. Their father left them when they were both young, for unknown reasons. The young boys, go through their fathers study, and begin to study alchemy: the metaphysical science of manipulating and altering matter by using natural energy. But it is a science and is subject to certain laws and limitations, all of which fall under the concept of Equivalent Exchange: "In order to obtain something, something of equal value must be lost or destroyed." Edward Elric, the older brother, particularly has a knack for it. When their mother dies from an outbreak, the 2 young boys decide to break the ultimate alchemists taboo: to bring someone back from the dead. After a long period of preparations, they are ready. But something immediately goes wrong. Alphonse loses his whole body, and Edward pays his leg, as 'equivalent exchange'. Edward realizes that the thing that they have created, is nothing like their mother. It's a monster. Edward, pleads to get his brother back, and is willing to sacrifice anything. He binds his brothers soul to a suit of armor, in exchange for his arm. Afterwards, a man named 'Roy Mustang' the Flame Alchemist comes all the way from Central, to see the brilliant alchemist is surprised to find a young boy, and the remains of human transmutation. He offers Edward the chance to become a state alchemist. It would require him to become a dog of the military, but he would have certain privileges, and ultimately he might find a lead to get his body back. Edward accepts, and has auto-mail attached as replacements for his arm and leg. After a year of arduous rehab, he takes the State Alchemists qualification exam, and passes. Fuhrer King Bradley gives him the name of 'Fullmetal Alchemist'. Together, these two boys ultimate goal is to obtain a Philosophers Stone. A mythical stone that allows the user to bypass the laws of equivalent exchange. Will Edward and Al be able to get their bodies back?

And also 2 fan-made trailers that I particularly like. (It is recommended you watch on youtube, where the screen is bigger, so you can read the subtitles.)
That was longer then I had hoped it would be, but there you have it. The anime is absolutely amazing, I was shocked that I had been so apprehensive about it at first. If you are considering watching Fullmetal Alchemist, I would say that Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is MUCH better then Fullmetal Alchemist, but it's much less confusing if you watch Fullmetal Alchemist first. (FMA:B is NOT a sequel. While Fullmetal Alchemist branches off from the original plot of the manga, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood stays true.) because since FMA:B has a lot more plot to squeeze in, they seem to squish a lot of stuff together, sometimes several episodes. At least in the beginning, not in a bad way though. Anyway, I wanted to rant more about certain topics, but writing that description wore me out, so I might as well change this title to:

Fullmetal Alchemist. A summary of it's awesomeness, and why you should watch!

My Relationship with My Sister. (Warning: Rant Mode.)

My Sister who's 15: It's a pretty.. uh.. interesting/okay relationship. We fight a lot, and 60% of the time she annoys the beans out of me, and our tastes are so different.. but we do have our moments. I guess. I'm a lot taller then her (She's a shrimp.) Our Differences are very obvious. First of all: Every Day she does her hair. She does a little braid, and then pins it, or whatever the crap she does with her long hair (It's... halfway down her back maybe. I know that's not that long compared to other people, but seriously, it's long.) She wears blouses, sweaters, sport sneakers, and heels. not necessarily together.. I wear my grey skinnies, a graphic t-shirt. Like almost every day. I never wear blouses and button-downs and long sleeves. Yep. Then I put my hair into this messy bun usually. Maybe 3 times a week, I'll straighten my hair, as it get's annoyingly wavy. (Not pretty waves.)
LIKE SERIOUSLY GUYS, I HAVE THIS SHIRT. AS IN I WORE IT YESTERDAY.
And then there are our music differences. She listens to Zenday and Zayn, Bridget Mendler, and basically the Disney Cast. (I don't really pay attention her music. XD) I like to listen to music like The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Red, Black Veil Brides, Secondhand Serenade, and One Direction.

One of the biggest differences known to mankind:
My BVB feels got the best of me and I had to post a picture of when they were younger, and now.
We have our anime differences. Well I introduced her to anime but basically she watches 3 things. Kaleido Star (Wtc is that?) Vampire Knight (I introduced her to that) and then I barely introduced her to Amnesia. Whereas I watch: Fairy Tail, Bleach, Vampire Knight, Ouran High School Host Club, Special A, Kaichou Wa Maid Sama, Sword Art Online, Romeo X Juliet, Angel Beats, Bleach, Amnesia, Fullmetal Alchemist, Lovely Complex, Death Note, Uta No Prince Sama, Hakuouki, Soul Eater, Etc. I don't know man. We just have a lot of differences. Plus the way she talks annoys/confuses me sometimes. She hears someone say something and basically repeats it in her own words, as if it's her own thought, and stuff like that. I don't know, I don't want to diss her out, she's nice... She's also really bossy. She likes to lecture our nephews and tell them that they're not doing it right, and she rolls her eyes a lot. Typical Teenager I guess. Her favorite colors are turquoise and pink, and mine are grey and black. asdflkjg;laskjglaksdfj k done ranting.

My Birthday!

I had a strawberry coconut cake. Let's see.. I got some black chucks.
I got Hyrule Historia (Any Zelda loving fan would love this book, it's a dream come true.)
(And of course, my copy is in english. T^T)

Got carried away with the pictures. Anyway it contains the timeline / chronology, Character Designs, and in the back is a manga of how Sky loft came to the skies.. (in love with that manga)
Anyway. I also got a Zelda, Twilight Princess shirt. It has this picture on it:
except for some reason on the t-shirt, his hair is like.. .really blonde. not gold. like.. blonde.
And I got a few games, and then I got Terarria from my brother. It's a really fun game. Kind of like Minecraft. Anyway, those were my favorite presents, I got some more, but I can't seem to recall..

Christmas 2012!

So for Christmas, every year we recreate the Nativity Story in our house (cheesy I know) and we usually play the Dice game, where we have a bunch of wrapped presents and we pace some dice around, and if you roll two 6's you get to pick a present. Then it continues. If a person who already has a present rolls another double 6, they can put their present back and choose to unwrap a present, they can trade basically steal from someone else. (My dad and my oldest sister are always fighting for chocolate) or they can keep their present. I remember I got a pack of adhesive mustaches and a pack of strawberry oreos (Which I gave away, and somehow... they were gone by Christmas Day) It was sort of funny because if I stared at my 1 year old nephew with the mustache, he'd start to cry. Same with my 2 year old Nephew. Well not cry, but he'd look at me strangely, and he'd look very uncomfortable. Apparently Mustaches aren't my style. Then the Christmas elf would pass out pajamas (usually the younger boys got matching pajamas, and then the older males got different matching pajamas, and then the females got different matching pajamas.) this year the females got a grey sweater, and sort of fuchsia colored pajama pants with these flowers. Hard to explain. I liked last years better though, they were just red plaid. (The girls got men's clothes.) I still wear last years, even though it has a hole in it. T^T Then we usually go to bed. On Christmas day, we're not allowed to go downstairs until 7:00 (and everyone has to be awake) and we go single file, youngest to oldest, down the stairs where Santa gave us presents. I got some cute japanese erasers, a huge multicolored crayon, some lotion, a $10 dollar Itunes gift card, y'know that sort of stuff. In previous Santa years (As in a long time ago) I got a guitar and an american girl doll.I got a green iPod nano in 2011. Then this year we went over to our sisters house (she lives a block away) in our pajamas (except my dad. He refuses to answer the door/let the dog out/ go outside period in his pajamas.) and we have breakfast, then we open presents. We are prevented from shuffling through them because we all have reindeer names. I think I was.. Blitzen this year. Then we go in a circle, youngest to oldest opening 1 present. I know that my parents got me some eyeshadow, mascara, Wonderstruck perfume, a drawing tablet, A harry potter journal, a sorting hat, etc. I can't remember it's been 4 months since Christmas. My sister (2 years older then me) got me a Niall Horan Doll. I never asked for that, but it's still cool.
I gave that same sister a Tinker Bell soundtrack CD. Yes I know, she's 2 years older then me, still listens to barbie, tinker bell, and she her favorite singers/inspirations are Zendaya and Bella Thorne.
(I swear my sister and I are so different. She wants to be an acrobat or an actress when she gets older (I said it didn't have to be a possible dream) and I want to be a singer or a teacher.)

I got off topic. Anyway. I got a lot of cool stuff for Christmas... my brother gave me a t-shirt that he had designed, etc. I can't remember oh my goodness. .___.

Raintail of Dawnclan - ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿

Behold the full glory of Raintail of Dawnclan. Or.... no clan now I guess. But anyway, this is her. Her eye was damaged when Faststar of Ironclan attacked her. >.< Anyway this is what she looks like, but at the same time it isn't. Her eyes are blue though. Kind of a turquoise color. Anyway I remember posting a cat on my old blog, but I believe that the way that I see my character has drastically changed. This is her when she's a young warrior. As you can see she's gorgeous. No just kidding. I'm actually pretty pleased with how she turned out though. I just wanted you guys to see, if anyone from Dawnclan or Ironclan were curious at all. It brings me back to happier days, and I'm really glad that I got to be part of the whole Ironclan and Dawnclan experience. I think about those days almost every day. (I'm not trying to be cliche it's true.)
